Tea Party/ Collectivitea

I want to share pictures of a recent tea party that I hosted where I was able to play around with colors and photograph to my heart’s content. I used my vintage tapestries and mismatched tea cups, and the only thing they had in common was a vaguely similar color palette. The color palette was a green/mint green/teal paired with pink and it was deliciously feminine, cool and soothing, all at once. If you are planning a spring tea party, or one for Mother’s Day, may I suggest trying these colors? As to how to mix it all up, and not having everything clash, first, pick one dominant color, one that is going to be on most of the pieces. Don’t worry about the patterns now. Just make sure the color is reinforced and shows up in varying degrees in the accessories. Next pick similar patterns, for example, floral, or all paisleys. Layer them as you would a sandwich 🙂 and voilĂ !
