Today’s mini home tour is from local resident Shraddha Singh. Shraddha is an HR professional and lives here in the SF Bay area. “I believe a home is a reflection of one’s innate aesthetics, creative and positive energies. As I moved into my own place this year, I’ve tried to build a home that speaks to these sensibilities. I’d love to share my ideas, patterns and positive vibes with people who appreciate beautiful homes. My work has led me to a number of places around the world and I never imagined that I’d find the home I always wanted in California. I live in a 1 bhk (bedroom, hall, kitchen) house in the Bay area and love coming back to my base every evening.”
“I moved here about a year and a half ago, after living in Hyderabad, India, where I was born and brought up. I come from a Rajput family but have a Nizami influence (having lived in Hyderabad), and perhaps the fascination for mirrors, colors, patterns, brass, lights stems from there. My decor style is a mix of Indian Rajasthani, with splash of western aesthetics. I love an eclectic mix of colors, patterns and prints that appear to work together seamlessly. I like my house to come together organically, with antiques I’ve inherited from family or collected from my travels, or things I’ve picked from a local vendor in my hometown.”
The home is airy and light with the pops of color coming mainly from the curated accents and the vivid pink rug. I have always felt that interior design is one of the most personal expressions of our creativity- after all, what we surround ourselves with, day in and day out, says a lot about us, our tastes and what makes us happy. I love the casual, boho styling!
