It’s been a slow start thanks to the long weekend here in the US for President’s Day, and many schools and offices are closed the entire week. Remember this post on OUATT inspired rooms? We received many emails with readers sharing how OUATT has influenced their own style (here is a room setup for a book club gathering in Seattle). One of the pictures we received was from Vandana, who lives in Bengaluru, India, about how she has started adding tapestries to up the style quotient..
” Hi, love reading your blog/ online magazine. The photographs are a treat and the name is something I am in love with! Being a chai lover, tea time is something I really look forward to. I have been following your blog much before you came up with your online magazine. Every post and home tour has been so inspiring! Your throw idea is a hit, I meant the zari throw idea…even I have incorporated it in my space and I just wanted to share a photograph with you here.” – Vandana
I have always loved the idea of incorporating vintage and new textiles and tapestries because they add vibrance and texture but also, because they are a nod to human ingenuity and our collective history. But that’s not all that’s striking in this room – the bold use of color, the happy mix of patterns, the effortless layering, all had me at hello! Yes, everyone would like to see a home tour, Vandana! Thanks for sharing!
