Hello to a new week and to the official start of summer! I have been missing from here the past two days because it was the long weekend here in the US, but also because it was high school graduation weekend. It feels exhilarating and joyous, but also emotional, and ‘end-of-an-era’ kind of heavy. Today I am grateful for the luxury of having spent an entire Monday in bed moping. I am grateful for the lovely graduation ceremony over the weekend that celebrated the achievements of all the kids, and to have shared this occasion with family and friends. But most of all I am grateful for the joy and lightness that children, whether our own or that of others, bring to us. Like Dostoevsky said, “The soul is healed by being with children.” Whether the kids in your life are graduating from kindergarten, high school, or college, wishing all of them the very best!
This post is part of a gratitude journal that I maintain and update almost daily. To read the gratitude journal entries so far, click here. Have a wonderful day! -Priya
