Welcome to Week 3, Day 15 of the 365-Day Creativity Challenge! This week that leads up to the Thanksgiving holiday next Thursday we are going to focus on creative exercises centered around giving thanks. Acknowledging the good we already have in our lives, and expressing thanks for it is a great way to step into a new day. I did the 21- Day Gratitude Challenge last month and found my mood shifting, becoming softer and more open to what the day may bring. So this coming week, we are going to use creative expression to give thanks. Let’s start today with a really wide circle of thanks, and slowly work our way to our Thanksgiving table! For Day 15, let’s give thanks for the planet (and our solar system) that we call home. Draw a picture of Earth and list the things you are grateful for about it. I am reminded of this anonymous quote I’ve seen on Pinterest- ” We live on a blue planet that circles around a ball of fire next to a moon that moves the sea… and you don’t believe in miracles?” Well, when you put it that way! You can make your drawing as simple or detailed as you want. List the things you are grateful for about the earth and again, the list can be as short or as long as you want it to be.
Go For it: Compose a haiku in praise of our home, the Earth.
Thank you for being part of this journey and I’ll see you tomorrow. To share how you are interpreting these creative prompts or following the challenge, please use the hashtag #ctea365 on social media and /or leave me a comment below. – Priya
